LAB #3 IMAGE ADJUSTMENTS PT#2 by Jorge Carty Diaz

               This lab is the part #2 of ''Image Adjustments'' lab. In this lab, we got an image of a car and we had to change the color of the images. First, we duplicated the images 4 times and placed them in lateral overlapping their corners with each other having the original image in the right hand corner of the work space. After, I proceeded to change the color of the 4 images by this steps, ''Image, adjustment, (filter)''. For the first picture i changed it to ''Black and White''. In the second picture, I changed the saturation level of the second image, i wanted it to look saturated but natural at the same time so I increased its saturation level a little bit. For the third picture, I only changed the color of the car, this action is called ''Replace Color'', i changed the color of the car and instead of red i switched it purple since it's one of my favorite colors. In the fourth and last picture, I had to changed Hue of the image which ''Hue'' means ''Color''. I changed the hue to make the car look Pink and i think it looks pretty good. As a last step, I had to label each picture with their respective filter in which i used the ''Text'' tool to label the images with names such as ''B&W, Saturation, R. Change, Hue'' and ended up labeling my work with my name, class, ETC. I think this skills are important to an web designer because it helps them get familiarized with the different tools for future projects.

My experience in the Metropolitan Museum of Art

This experience was great! I loved everything i saw in the museum but of course, there are some stuff that could have been better. Let's start with the negatives so we can finish up with the positives. One negative aspect about the trip was the waiting time outside. It really was a pain to have to wait for around 30-40 minutes outside in the rain. It really didn't feel good but i believe the staff was doing everything as fast as they could to get every single student inside the museum. In the museum i got to talk to many representatives of different programs around New York and they gave us stuff like posts its, pens, little notebooks, pins, stickers, etc. These programs offered many activities, some of them paid and some others free, and these programs were really interesting because one of them offered game development classes, others musical classes and more. I was surprised by the variety of stuff you were able to sign up for, and all of them were really nice and friendly.

Lab Quince | JS Drum Kit & Clock | Jorge Carty

In lab 15, I was required to create a website that allowed the user to play sounds from a drum kit using the keyboard, to be more exact, with keys like "A", "S", "D", "F", "G", "H", "J", "K", "L". Also, this lab has a clock that tells you the real-time and it's constantly updating. To develop this idea I had to design the clock and the drum kit in HTML and CSS, and add its functionality with JavaScript. For the drum kit, divs were made with specific data-keys and using audio tags that also react to data-keys which makes the sounds work, and the other makes the div get highlighted once you press a key in the drum kit. A function in JavaScript was also made in order to allow the user to spam the sounds, otherwise, the sound would play and the user would have to wait a couple of seconds to play it again.
