PS - Teamwork by Jorge Carty Diaz

   Teamwork is in my opinion one of the best skills that can be applied in a work place. Teamwork is a concept built by different branches that make this skill very effective for many situations. For example, If you want to design something with a group of people, everyone giving a different opinion and engaging with the design will make it a greater and more of a successful design because it has different point of views and all that combined makes a stronger idea.

   But the true question is, What are those branches of the ''Teamwork Concept''?. Well, one of those branches is the ability to communicate. Why is communication so important? well, it's very simple, you don't want to miss any ideas from others or opinions because a lot of them might be important and also the ability of giving ideas without being shy of what people might think of them. Another branch is Feedback, you always want to give advises to your teammates so they can do the best they can, being honest is a key on this branch. Problem solving and Listening skills are very important while working in a team, be able to listen to your teammates and together come up with a strong resolution for a problem is the best way to resolve a problem.

My experience in the Metropolitan Museum of Art

This experience was great! I loved everything i saw in the museum but of course, there are some stuff that could have been better. Let's start with the negatives so we can finish up with the positives. One negative aspect about the trip was the waiting time outside. It really was a pain to have to wait for around 30-40 minutes outside in the rain. It really didn't feel good but i believe the staff was doing everything as fast as they could to get every single student inside the museum. In the museum i got to talk to many representatives of different programs around New York and they gave us stuff like posts its, pens, little notebooks, pins, stickers, etc. These programs offered many activities, some of them paid and some others free, and these programs were really interesting because one of them offered game development classes, others musical classes and more. I was surprised by the variety of stuff you were able to sign up for, and all of them were really nice and friendly.

Lab Quince | JS Drum Kit & Clock | Jorge Carty

In lab 15, I was required to create a website that allowed the user to play sounds from a drum kit using the keyboard, to be more exact, with keys like "A", "S", "D", "F", "G", "H", "J", "K", "L". Also, this lab has a clock that tells you the real-time and it's constantly updating. To develop this idea I had to design the clock and the drum kit in HTML and CSS, and add its functionality with JavaScript. For the drum kit, divs were made with specific data-keys and using audio tags that also react to data-keys which makes the sounds work, and the other makes the div get highlighted once you press a key in the drum kit. A function in JavaScript was also made in order to allow the user to spam the sounds, otherwise, the sound would play and the user would have to wait a couple of seconds to play it again.
