Lab Cuatro | Ninja | - Jorge Carty

Image
Lab 4 was an interesting one. This lab required us to find or make an image of a ninja (not the fortnite streamer, an actual ninja). I chose the Water Type Ninja from Club Penguin since only gods played that game. It was a funny choice and an inside joke with peers but we got it done. The complicated part of this lab was making buttons trigger sounds with JS. This is very important for a web designer because now I can trigger different sounds with buttons or actions. Just looking forward to what else is there to learn.

5 Scholarships - Jorge Carty

What we did here was research about different scholarships we can apply to. I got my information from  https://www.scholarships.com/  and searched different scholarships that have to do with graphic design and web design for high school students, especially seniors. This was very helpful because now I'm looking forward to trying to complete any of these scholarships to get some money for college.

Project Dos | Shark Tank | - Jorge Carty

I enjoyed this project, even though I was not there to do one of my favorite things, present my work. I really wanted to present my work to the sharks and other peers but unfortunately, I had to leave the country and, it was not possible. Leaving that aside, this project was interesting because I had 2 very peculiar teammates, one would get distracted by the minimal movement and the other wouldn't come to class or show up late. Surprisingly, we all finished our parts and I am glad my teammates were responsible enough to complete their parts as we planned. I was the leader of this team, by their choice, and I had to make sure every single page was completed. I was behind them every time we needed their parts to be completed. I enjoyed the planning stage and the coding stage because we worked together on a color scheme based on the interviews we did prior development stages. We received 2 companies to work with and we needed to make a website and present our p

Lab Cinco & Seis | JQuery Animate | - Jorge Carty

Lab Five was complicated to complete since I was barely introduced to JQuery. I needed help from some classmates who were kind enough to explain some of the code and their meaning. Very thankful. Now I am able to make something change with one click. This lab was relatively simple. it was more muscle memory than anything else, I would like to get more labs to completely understand this code and make us use it as everyday basis code.  In this lab, I created different buttons with JS actions that change a div (shape, move, random, reset, etc.) After creating the simple HTML doc, I proceeded to make the CSS to make the page look friendlier or at least to match my portfolio/website.  This skill is very helpful to a web designer because it opens many doors of possibilities and creativity can be utilized to make many amazing things, from animations or making a website flow differently. In lab 6, we were required to create a button that stops the JQ. The button goes b
