Workshop - Mock interviews 2019

In this workshop, organized by the CTE staff within my school, we were practicing interview skills with professionals that know about the topic. We were divided into groups and my group was getting interviewed by the school's psychologist.

We made the interview look as professional as possible to try to get more experience doing so. Also, at the end, she gave us feedback after the interviews and what she told us is that we need to stop fidgeting with our legs because that might distract the interviewer or bother him/her. Also, she complemented us by saying that we have very good eye contact. we knew what to talk about at all times, and that most of the interviews felt like a conversation more than a interview itself, which is a good thing.

LAB 8 - Flash Talk Page by Jorge Carty Diaz

In the lab 8 called "Flash Talk Page" we had to do many things. Maybe it wasn't many things but it was definitely stuff that takes time to prepare and make. In this lab we made a 2 minute speech of an internet issue giving information about the topic in a simple way that everyone would understand. We had a research phase where we were supposed to collect information about the topic. Then we got into the writing phase, which was basically organizing the information we collected from our research and making it 2 minutes long. Then we entered in the recording phase which consisted on recording ourselves reading the speech we prepared in the previous phase. I decided to make the video in my house since i wanted to do it with my own equipment and i believe it turned out being pretty good. My Smarto Goalo - Jorge Carty Diaz

As a Senior in High School there are many goals I want to achieve. Obviously I want to graduate from High School but I also want to do some stuff for myself. My dream is to become a professional e-Sports player. What is an e-Sports player? They're professional players in certain games, and that might sound silly but they make more than enough money to sustain themselves and more. The reason behind this decision is because I love video games and the opportunity to get payed playing games that I love is mind-blowing. Also, I would love to become a YouTuber and Twitch Streamer. I still want to be a Graphic Designer and work as that in the future but if I get an opportunity to achieve my goal, I won't let it go. How would I achieve this goal? I need to put in some real grind. I wouldn't say non-stop because we all need a break at some point, but I need to grind so I can get enough experience to become a top player.
